Book a Freediving Expedition

We offer the ultimate freediving hybrid trips for certified freedivers seeking to hone their freedive skills under the coaching of a veteran instructor and also experience life changing animal encounters in Hawaii's aquatic environment. Our private freediving focused trips and multi-day depth camps are designed for those wishing to improve their underwater abilities, apply them practically at unique dive sites on the Kona Coast, and spend some time in bluewater looking for pelagic wildlife.

Our depth training sessions are either held at a local shipwreck which sits in the sand at 90’ or in a deep bay of 200’ depth. During these sessions we spend 1.5 hrs line diving, improving on freediving fundamentals that develop comfort at depth. These sessions are conducted under the supervision and coaching of FII Instructor Dylan Currier. Every diver works on their individual pursuits and challenges, with a max of 3 divers per line, ensuring a smooth ﬂow throughout the session.

Depth Training

During trips which begin on the reef, we will spend the ﬁrst couple hours of the trip at one or two unique deeper sites, where we utilize our reﬁned freediving skills to explore the marine life and topography in the area. Site locations are dependent on weather, sea conditions and local reports. Some of our dive sites include a gray reef shark nursery, manta ray cleaning stations, deep ledges, surreal sea caves, and other photogenic backdrops. These days are ideal for underwater photographers and divers looking to practice their bottom time.

Reef Diving

For the second half of our freediving trips, we head out into deep water to see what we can ﬁnd for pelagic marine species. With almost all bluewater interactions, we are simply snorkeling at the surface, so this portion of the day perfectly compliments a morning of depth training or reef diving.
